Following the hard felt effects of the COVID19 pandemic in African Countries, the Princess Eunice Ukwuani Foundation has decided to reach out to poor, disabled and less privileged families in Africa.
It is no new news that many African homes are lacking the necessary amenities to survive through the COVID19 lockdown across the various countries. Food, PPE like face mask, sanitizers and hand gloves are very much unavailable in most African communities due to the government’s inability to handle the teeming population. As a result, NGO’s have stepped up to provide assistance. Following the hard felt effects of the COVID19 pandemic in African Countries, the Princess Eunice Ukwuani Foundation has decided to reach out to poor, disabled and less privileged families in Africa.
This program involves
- distribution of Personal Protective Equipment e.g. Face masks, Sanitizers, Hand Gloves, e.t.c
- distribution of financial aid to less privileged homes in Africa.
- distribution of financial aid to less privileged homes in Africa.
With a team headed by Mr Baye Osagie Sylvester (PEUF Nigeria-Based Coordinator), the Princess Eunice Ukwuani Foundation conducted outreach on the 26th of May 2020 in Africa, focusing on communities in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. This outreach was done in three major communities in the state Uselu Community, Iyanomo and Orior Village.
Financial assistance was given mainly to children and women to assist them in the harsh conditions of the COVID 19 Pandemic.
In his speech, Mr Baye stated,
“despite the harsh financial condition of many in the country presently, it is important we make effort to give from what we have to those who do not have at all”.
He further stated that “the Princess Eunice Ukwuani Foundation is committed to helping as many as possible as we fight against the deadly Corona Virus”
